Bachelor of Science (Computer Science)

The course is a combination of studying design, construction and uses of computer systems with the major focus on understanding the basic principles behind computing tools, operating systems, compilers and translators, and computer hardware.

The course expands students’ knowledge in the field of computer science with the study of the representation of data and data structures, the design of algorithms for programming languages and machine systems.

Students will further learn to develop computer applications with the study of design and development of hardware and software tools and the non computing elements such as human interface and psychological aspects as a part of the design and development process

Course Duration: 3 years full time English Language requirements: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest)

Diploma in Computer Science

The course acts as a strong foundational course with the study of design, construction and uses of computer systems. Upon completion of this course students can gain the opportunity to enter Second Year at UNSW Sydney to study a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science).

Course Duration: 12 months English Language requirements: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest)

Engineering: Double degrees

A double degree = less time + more jobs!
Students interested in taking their study to the next level might consider extending their bachelor degree by combining it with another degree or, in some cases, by completing a Masters program. Making a decision to do a Double Degree up front allows you to get more achieved in less time, and broaden your skills and job opportunities.

Master of Engineering / Master of Engineering Science

Master of Engineering UNSW flagship Masters degree is designed for students with a four year Bachelor of Engineering degree. There is a core of key engineering subjects that can be applied to all fields, and an expansive choice of specialisations and electives.

Master of Engineering This two year program is designed for those with a Bachelor of Engineering degree wanting to enter the engineering profession, enabling them to expand their knowledge and skills in engineering management, acquire an in-depth knowledge of a particular specialisation, and gain technical expertise. The five specialisations are professionally accredited by Engineers Australia (or in progress of being accredited)
