Master of Engineering / Master of Engineering Science

Master of Engineering UNSW flagship Masters degree is designed for students with a four year Bachelor of Engineering degree. There is a core of key engineering subjects that can be applied to all fields, and an expansive choice of specialisations and electives.

Master of Engineering This two year program is designed for those with a Bachelor of Engineering degree wanting to enter the engineering profession, enabling them to expand their knowledge and skills in engineering management, acquire an in-depth knowledge of a particular specialisation, and gain technical expertise. The five specialisations are professionally accredited by Engineers Australia (or in progress of being accredited)

Bachelor of Design

UNSW’s three-year bachelor’s degree emphasizes a conceptual understanding of how design reflects historical, social, and cultural values, and how it can change the future. Further, the degree will prepare students to challenge conventional practices of materials, systems, processes, and technologies, and to seek new solutions to problems.


The integration of digital and physical production, critical thinking, emerging technologies, design research, management, and entrepreneurship provides you with the skills for careers across a range of recognized and booming design fields.

Master of Design

The Master of Design, an interdisciplinary industry-engaged program that focuses on the role of design in innovation and the global economy. As a master’s student, you will learn to blend technology, design thinking, conceptual exploration, strategy, and communication with practical skills to take professional and practical design knowledge to an advanced level.  

Moreover, the degree emphasizes integrated and multidisciplinary studios that enhance your professional skills, capabilities, and confidence needed for leadership in freelance, project or design, media, and technology business contexts.

Double Degrees Course

Bachelor of Design/Education (Secondary)

The Bachelor of Design/Education (Secondary) double degree allows you to pursue a teaching specialization in visual arts, with the option of a second teaching specialization in graphics and multimedia technology. UNSW enforces importance on practical experience along with theoretical aspects of education.
