You are challenged to work across disciplines, sectors, places and locations, learning how to creatively respond to briefs and commissions and building transferrable skills for future careers.

Network with industry Professionals Animex - our International Festival of Animation and Computer Games - is your chance to meet industry experts, discuss the state-of-the-art, see behind the scenes of the biggest hits, and to have a great time at one of the premier games and animation events anywhere in the world. ExpoTees is our annual exposition of final year student work celebrating the next generation of expertise in animation, games, computing, journalism, film and the arts. Attendees include leading industry figures seeking to recruit bright new talent to their organisations. Tesside have a long-established track-record of delivering high-quality education, research and consultancy in the fields of computing, engineering and digital technologies. Industry links Animex, the UK's largest animation festival, takes place on campus every year bringing world renowned studios and artists to the University. Previous speakers have included Eric Goldberg, Phil Tippet, Ray Harryhausen and artists from Pixar, Disney, Dreamworks and Industrial Light & Magic. Several of our speakers have been Teesside graduates who now hold senior positions in these major studios.

Teesside's Computing & Web courses prepare you for a career in a range of industries – from heavy industry to health and business. They allow you to build the knowledge and skills you need to work in these rapidly changing environments. We understand the importance of working closely with businesses and so all our degree routes allow you to enhance your CV through a paid, fully supervised, one-year placement in industry.
