The Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) is a challenging research-oriented, four-year degree. This course places a strong emphasis on in-depth knowledge of the research, theory and practical skills required of educators in early childhood settings, from birth to the lower primary years.

Professional accreditation

The Master of Professional Engineering has been assessed for accreditation by Engineers Australia, the national accrediting body. The Chemical, Civil, Electronic and Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical and Mining Engineering specialisations
received full accreditation in 2016–2017.

Our graduates are recognised internationally through the Washington Accord of the International Engineering Alliance. Additionally, the MPE Chemical Engineering specialisation is accredited by the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and Software Specialisation has been provisionally accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

Professional practicum

The Master’s program focuses on delivering hands-on industry-related learning. As part of your studies, you will complete a 12-week practicum, with at least eight weeks in an engineering environment. The remaining weeks can be undertaken in a general work environment in a capacity unrelated to your MPE specialisation, such as voluntary work or professional development.

This professional degree provides suitably qualified graduates with the knowledge and skills to enter the dentistry profession upon completion. Studies cover fundamental dental and medical sciences together with clinical practice modules including patient care, preventative and conservative dentistry, restorative dentistry, and child and adolescent dental health. There is early clinical contact from first year.

You actively engage in a research project in the third year, while the final year is occupied by independent but supervised practice which takes place inside and outside the UWA Dental School, with compulsory rural and metropolitan clinical
