Marketing Major (BCom)

This major provides you with an understanding of the role marketing plays in creating customer value. You will have the chance to explore the diverse field of marketing, including international and internet marketing and communication, retail and services marketing, research, product, pricing and promotion strategies, and consumer behaviour.

Curtin's Marketing major is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) .

Finance Major (BCom)

This major gives you a broad understanding of corporate and investment finance. You will learn about investment evaluation, how to fund activities, the roles played by financial markets and instruments, structure and operations of financial markets, and financial securities that trade in financial markets.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia has partnered with Curtin Business School (CBS) to offer internships to students who have completed 200 credits or more of their business degree.

Professional accreditation/recognition
Finance Major (BCom) has also been accepted into the CFA institute University Recognition Program. The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) credential is the most respected and recognized investment designation in the world and the CFA Program is the first step toward earning this qualification.

Accounting Major (BCom)

This major introduces you to accounting principles, auditing, taxation, relevant areas of business law and financial management. You can examine the development and communication of information relating to the financial performance of organisations, learn to prepare reports and give advice on an organisation’s record-keeping and compliance requirements.

Professional accreditation/recognition
Students who completed the course are be eligible to apply for admission to the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, CPA Australia, as well as ACCA Accelerate program.
