Best Things to do in New Zealand

New Zealand boasts so many stunning natural wonders packed into such a small area. From glaciers to beaches, whale-watching to wine-tasting and much more, New Zealand has so much to offer while you pursue your study journey.

Here are a few things that you should definitely try to do while you are studying in New Zealand.

A fun wine tasting activity at Waiheke

Waiheke Island is an exquisite heaven with a unique combination of wineries, olive orchards, beaches, art studios, and quirky cafés. You can try New Zealand's best wines while admiring the coastal views at one of the numerous vineyards. Cable Bay, Mudbrick, and Kennedy Point are some of the best vineyards.

Go on an adventure in Queenstown

Queenstown is an excellent place for an adventurous experience. The place is well-known for the adrenaline rush it gives. You can enjoy jet boat rides, skiing, river rafting, hiking, and bicycling, or go bungee jumping right where it all started. When canyoning at the 12-Mile-Delta Canyon, you should definitely do the Shotover Canyon Swing. You must not forget to try the Fergburger, the world's best burger.

Say 'Kia ora'

Kia ora is a friendly and inviting greeting from the indigenous Mori language, te reo, that is heard throughout New Zealand. In Rotorua, New Zealand's cultural heart, immerse yourself in Mori culture and friendliness. Visit an authentic pre-European Mori village for cultural entertainment and learn about Mori culture through traditional ceremonies, cultural performances, and a traditional hangi feast.

Enjoy in Milford Sound

Milford Sound is one of New Zealand's most stunning natural wonders. Milford Sound's sheer cliffs and waterfalls should not be missed. Renting a kayak and driving across the spectacular fjord scenery is the ideal way to visit this beautiful region. A day trip through Milford Sound's beautiful fjords, spectacular waterfalls, and snow-capped hills is available. Flightseeing, kayaking, or taking an overnight boat excursion are other ways to explore the "Eighth Wonder of the World."

Experience geothermal phenomena

Rotorua, a city in New Zealand's North Island, has geysers, boiling mud pools, and massive volcanic craters where nature's energies escape by bubbling, steaming, and hissing from the inner ground. You must explore the sights and mysteries of this metropolis perched on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Sneaky threads of steam drift upward from parks, riverbanks, and drains in and around Rotorua's geothermal sites. The geysers of hot water erupt from the ground minutes from the city center, while pools of bubbling mud gurgle and belch. There are various walkways surrounding the geothermal sites of Taupo and Rotorua that provide easy access and good views for you.

Heli-hike a glacier

On the stunning, pristine West Coast, wild rivers, jungles, glaciers, and rough beaches beckon exploration. With an exhilarating helicopter ride, jaw-dropping scenery, and a two-and-a-half-hour stroll across the most beautiful glacier features, it's no surprise that Glacier Heli Hike is the highlight of New Zealand.

Cruise with Whales

Kaikoura, only two hours north of Christchurch, is all about maritime activities. On a trip to Kaikoura, you can encounter Giant Sperm Whales and pods of Dusky dolphins. You must try snorkelling with friendly New Zealand fur seals.

Kayak in the Bay of Islands

Paihia is only 3.5 hours from Auckland and makes an excellent location for exploring the underwater playground of 144 exquisite islands. You can get out on the sea and explore by kayaking, or take a tour to see dolphins, relax on golden beaches, and visit the ancient Waitangi Treaty Grounds.
